H.O.P.E. Merit Scholarships
Every year in the month of September, Merit Scholarship test happens at GPS and HOPE (Helping Outstanding Students Educationally) scholarships are awarded to selected students for one year. There are 59 Scholarships.
Gayatri Devi Memorial Charitable Trust conducts HOPE Scholarship tests at GPS. Anyone can start a perpetual merit based perpetual HOPE scholarship in his or her name or in the name of their choosing.
As we all an educated world is a much better world and providing high quality education needs to be a key mission for all of us. Young mind is a terrible thing waste and a wonderful thing to invest in.
Gayatri Devi Memorial Charitable Trust that has 80 G status. Scholarship/Donation/Contribution is income tax deductible in India. Donation/contribution check should be written in the name of Gayatri Devi Memorial Charitable Trust and a receipt will be provided for income tax deduction.
Merit Scholarship can be established with Rupees 50,000 for Eight Years or
one time donation/contribution of Rupees 3.5 Lakh.
All scholarship funds stay in a fixed deposit (CD) in the village bank and interest income
is utilized for yearly scholarships.
As one can see this a much bigger project far beyond the means of one person or one family.
Small contributions and support from many well wishers will go a long way to make GPS one of the best schools in Himachal Pradesh.
